SMS SC to hold Liga-YA ng Hiraya: Valorant Tournament 2022
Inspired by the ‘ka-barangay’ spirit, the [Hiraya: School of Media Studies (SMS) Student Council] will kickstart the month of June by hosting its first Valorant Tournament for Mapúan and non-Mapúan gamers.
Out of 49 teams from various universities nationwide, the Mapúa Gaming Society (MGS) Ares clinched the third spot in the AcadArena ACES: Campus Open for Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) tournament alongside the Malayan Cuties from Malayan Colleges Laguna.
Before the pandemic, the SCEGE-SC hosted the SCEGE Cup with various sports events for the students, but due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the local student council conducted the event virtually this year.
Mapúan alumni Elli Dale De Guzman and Carelle Samantha Nantes triumphed over powerhouses in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 96: Rise Up Stronger Cheerleading Competition last June 27.
Coming home from a six-day tourney, two Mapúa Junior Tracksters brought victories to their name and to the university from the recently-concluded Taiwan National Middle School Athletic Games in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan last April 25.
